Employability Skills – Reflection on My 5-Minute Video Pitch

 

What?

 

During my Business and Management course, I completed a five-minute video pitch. I researched my topic, prepared PowerPoint slides, organised my ideas and practised speaking in English. I also learned how to present information clearly within a limited time.

 

So What?

 

This experience helped me improve my communication, digital skills, time management and confidence. At first, I found speaking English and recording myself challenging because English is not my first language. However, practising helped me feel more comfortable. I learned how important preparation, organisation and clear communication are when presenting ideas to an audience.

 

Now What?

 

In the future, I want to become more confident when speaking in public and improve my presentation skills. I will practise more, use feedback from my tutors and continue developing my digital skills. This experience will help me with future university assignments and my career development.
